Fizik is refreshing its Vento Proxy model with a new colour for the 2025 season. The four colour versions already available are now joined by the very subtle Lilac /Lime version. Technically, the Performance cycling shoe launched in 2024 unchanged. The Vento Proxy is aimed at performance-orientated riders who are looking for a race-ready shoe for unpaved trails. Main areas of use: cross-country, cyclocross and fast gravel races.

Fizik Vento Proxy: Light, stiff, grippy

The upper material of the Fizik Vento Proxy consists of a PU-laminated mesh. This construction ensures low weight and good ventilation. At the same time, the material remains tear-resistant and protects against the stresses and strains of rough terrain. Fizik has dispensed with additional reinforcements or protective padding to keep the weight low.

The Vento Proxy uses a Li2 BOA Fit System for the fit adjustment, which enables stepless and bidirectional adjustment via a single dial. The laces are guided through wide, textile guides, which, according to Fizik, ensures even pressure distribution.

The outsole of the Vento Proxy is made of a fibre composite material that Fizik calls the X3 sole. This offers high rigidity for efficient power transmission. A generous rubber tread on the underside improves grip on the pedals as well as traction on running sections, making the shoe particularly suitable for cyclocross races.

Versatile area of application

Fizik positions the Vento Proxy as a versatile performance shoe for various off-road disciplines. According to the manufacturer, this means: in cross-country races, it should offer the necessary responsiveness for technical trails, in cyclocross it should enable explosive acceleration and good grip on running sections, and gravel riders should benefit from the combination of stiffness and comfort on long gravel sections.
