In contrast to the carbon models, the aluminium versions of the Endurace did not receive an update last year. This makes the Canyon look almost a little classic. On the other hand, the marathon bike with its harmonious overall package is still one of the best materials you can buy for around 1500 euros. Compared to the competition, the Endurace 6 benefits from its relatively low weight: the Canyon saves around 700 grams compared to the heaviest models in the field, while the stylishly finished frameset and wheels are among the lighter models. Another advantage of the second cheapest road bike in the Koblenz-based company's portfolio is the high level of suspension comfort. The carbon seat post in combination with the wide rear tyre noticeably smoothes out rough roads.
As the frame and fork can take tyres up to 35 millimetres wide, the Endurace is also suitable for gravel tracks. Thanks to the upright riding position and the good-natured steering behaviour, you can also spend long distances in the saddle without pain or stress. With the 1:1 gear ratio in the lowest gear, you are well equipped for mountainous terrain. A small bag for energy bars or a puncture repair kit can be attached to the top tube; there are no other mounting eyelets for mudguards, for example. There was a 50 euro discount during the test period, the lighter carbon models start at 1999 euros.
