Erik Fedko, Dawid Godziek and co. will be competing this coming Saturday at the Red Bull District Ride in Groningen, the only FMB World Tour Diamond event in Europe this year. Also taking part is the German slopestyle rising star Johanna Nussbaumer, who will be competing against Alma Wiggberg and Robin Goomes, amongst others, in the first-ever women’s contest in the history of the Red Bull District Ride. The contests will be broadcast live on Red Bull TV.
Erik Fedko (born on 4 February 1998 in Fröndenberg) is Germany’s best and most successful slopestyle rider on the international stage. Since breaking into the world’s top ranks, the Sauerland native has been a firm fixture amongst the global elite of freeride and slopestyle.
On his bike, Fedko particularly impresses with his extremely precise, technically highly complex yet seemingly effortless riding style. His trademark moves include spectacular jumps such as the 360 Indian Air.His skill has already seen him finish on the podium at the world’s most prestigious competitions, including the Crankworx World Tour and the legendary Red Bull Joyride. His third place at the 2022 Red Bull District Ride, in front of over 80,000 spectators in Nuremberg, is also unforgettable. Career highlight: Crankworx gold in 2026 in Christchurch.
As well as competing, the Red Bull athlete regularly causes a stir with spectacular personal projects – such as in 2024 with “Above the Trees”, where he performed daring tricks on a 24-metre-high course directly above the treetops of the Sauerland. He is also a strong advocate for young talent in the German slopestyle scene.
