Professionals say what they think: Enduro ace Christian Textor speaks plainly

Christian "Texi" Textor (32) is Germany's fastest enduro racer. The five-time German champion switched to Franconian supplier YT in February. The former downhiller wants to be at the front of the UCI Mountain Bike Enduro World Cup (EDR) 2023 with his new World Cup Enduro. We asked Texi seven questions and got some straight talk.

If I had to choose just one bike - I would choose an enduro. No bike category is more versatile.

I'm not an envious person. But I am if someone gets the better piece of cake.

I am not religious, but a believer. There is a difference.

I find the EDR-E exciting. The guys have more time on the bike, which I like.

I'm a good loser. But I'm bad at losing to myself, I get angry.

I am an outdoor person.

Sometimes I think about how much better I could have been if I hadn't started racing when I was 19.

I believe in loving my neighbour. And I want to treat people the way I want to be treated.
