"Pretty scary" - Danny MacAskill against gravity
In the solitude of his Scottish homeland, Danny MacAskill found some of the steepest descents he has ever ridden for his film The Slabs. "Pretty scary!

Even before the coronavirus travel restrictions, Danny MacAskill enjoyed exploring his Scottish homeland by bike. His daring ride on the narrowest ridges in the video The Ridge (2014) has been clicked almost 75 million times so far. For his latest film, he sought out another special challenge.

In the remote Dubh Slabs rock formations on the shores of Loch Coruisk in the middle of the Black Cuilin mountains, Danny found the perfect ingredients: breathtakingly steep slopes, jagged rocks and the spectacular backdrop of his home on the Isle of Skye.

In the film The Slabs, we see Danny's downhill from the Dibh Slabs in full length and in one piece - over rocks so steep that they take your breath away. In the solitude of the Scottish wilderness and given the extremely rough terrain, Danny and his team produced the film exclusively with GoPro footage from the rider's perspective and the impressive images from a super-fast racing drone.

Sebastian Brust was born in 1979 and was originally socialised on his grandmother's folding bike, but has mainly been riding studded tyres since his fifth birthday. Loves all kinds of bikes - and merging with nature. Believes that disc brakes are much safer today than they were 15 years ago and thinks he has helped with his brake and pad tests. However, the trained vehicle technology engineer very much regrets that the bicycle industry is orientating itself on what he considers to be the wrong ideals of the car industry. At BIKE, he corrects, produces and organises digital content on the website.
