Fair Bicycle is signalling the return of the Mountain Bike World Championships to Champéry with an exclusive T-shirt. The shirt is a tribute to Danny Hart's legendary 2011 race and the unforgettable commentary by Rob Warner and Nigel Page. After 14 years, the World Championships will return to the challenging course in the Swiss Alps on 7 September 2025. With this project, Fair Bicycle wants to recall the roots and the original spirit of downhill racing. The company emphasises that at a time when large corporations are increasingly influencing the sport, it is important to remember the authenticity and passion that characterise mountain biking.

Sustainable production and fair working conditions

The T-shirt is produced in Switzerland according to the highest ecological and social standards. Fair Bicycle attaches great importance to sustainability and fair working conditions. The shirt is made from 100 per cent organic cotton and is OEKO-TEX certified. With a weight of 180 g/m², it is comfortable to wear. The screen printing on the front and back is also realised in Switzerland. Fair Bicycle is thus setting an example against the increasing commercialisation of sport and for a return to core values such as fairness and environmental awareness. The company wants to show that high-quality products can also be manufactured under fair conditions.

Presented the World Cup for many years and enjoys legendary status: Rob Warner.Photo: Tyler RavellePresented the World Cup for many years and enjoys legendary status: Rob Warner.

Rob Warner: THE MAN!

Rob Warner himself rode World Cup races in downhill, but then switched to Freecaster as a presenter and later to Red Bull when the soda company acquired the broadcasting rights to the UCI World Cup. It was only when the media company Warner Bros. (nothing to do with Rob Warner) reorganised the World Cup in conjunction with the UCI that Rob Warner was relegated to the sidelines as a presenter. Now the funny Brit with his distinctive, euphoric voice can unfortunately only be heard at Red Bull events such as Red Bull Cerro Abajo or Red Bull Hardline. The T-shirt is intended to draw attention to the fact that the scene misses Rob Warner.

Limited edition and exclusive availability

The T-shirt will be produced in a strictly limited edition and is only available for a limited time. Interested bikers can pre-order the shirt from now until 22 August 2023 via the Fair Bicycle website. Delivery will either be made by post worldwide or can be collected directly in Champéry on the morning of 7 September 2025. Fair Bicycle offers free collection up to one hour before the start of the Women's Elite Downhill Final. Buyers will be informed of the exact pick-up location in good time. With this exclusive distribution strategy, Fair Bicycle wants to emphasise the special character of the product and at the same time create a direct link to the event.

Fair pricing and additional features

Fair Bicycle has opted for transparent and fair pricing. The T-shirt is available in sizes S, M, L and XL (unisex) and costs 31 euros, 29 CHF, 27 GBP, 49 CAD or 36 USD, depending on the currency. The price includes a set of three stickers that pick up on the design of the shirt. The basic colour of the T-shirt is steel grey, which gives it a timeless and versatile look. The Fair Bicycle logo is printed on the label, which emphasises the authenticity of the product. With this pricing policy, Fair Bicycle wants to show that fairly produced items do not necessarily have to be more expensive than conventional products.

Fair Bicycle's corporate philosophy

Fair Bicycle sees itself as a pioneer for sustainable and ethical business practices in the bicycle industry. The company attaches great importance to fair working conditions and sources its products exclusively from countries where fair wages and labour rights are enshrined and enforced by law. Transparency plays a central role here: Fair Bicycle publishes as much evidence as possible to prove compliance with these standards. The company follows the principle of the circular economy and endeavours to either fully recycle or biodegrade all materials used at the end of the product life cycle. This holistic approach runs through all aspects of the company, from product development to packaging.

Experienced team behind Fair Bicycle

Behind Fair Bicycle are two experienced professionals from the bicycle industry. Marco Giarrana, born in 1983, is a trained product designer with a wide range of experience from various cycling disciplines. Valentin Wendel, born in 1976, has a background as a bicycle mechanic, mechanical engineer and engineer. Both combine their expertise to develop innovative and sustainable products for the cycling market. Their focus is on combining technical perfection, ecological responsibility and fair business practices.
