The last wheelie video from Scottish trickster Danny MacAskill was less than six months ago - and more than a decade after the first street trial video Inspired Bicycles Danny digs deep into his bag of tricks again: "Postcard from San Francisco" is here. A 5-minute video greeting with street trial tricks in a class of their own against the spectacular backdrop of the Californian metropolis.

Back in 2009 - 13 (!) years ago - there was a 4:3 video on YouTube featuring a young Scotsman performing crazy stunts in the city centre of Edinburgh. Danny MacAskill had a film with Insprired Bicycles showed what street trials are all about. The young Scotsman became the now 36-year-old Danny, who now sends a greeting to the next generation of bikers with his latest video from the USA: "Look, I'm still steezy on my bike. Postcard from San Francisco is a stand-up tour of the wacky features and obstacles that Danny tries out. Against the backdrop of the city's landmarks, such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Prison Island and the streets of Chinatown, trial master Danny "drop and roll" MacAskill interprets the city in his own way.

Postcard from San Francisco was definitely a project close to my heart. Since I made my first street film Inspired Bicycles all those years ago, I've mostly focused on concept videos with a story. This time I really wanted to make a proper street video again. I knew it would be difficult because the impact on concrete is just not very pleasant. Some of the lines took me over three hundred attempts to land and I broke my kneecap in between to make matters worse. - Danny MacAskill

A broken kneecap, which Danny MacAskill suffered during the first shoot in San Francisco five years ago, almost put a stop to the project. But Danny never put the issue behind him. After rehab and a few other projects (e.g. the last video Do a Wheelie) In the meantime, in Postcard from San Francisco, Danny again shows incredible street trials tricks at the highest level, which always look so playful.

The new YouTube video shows Danny's incredible skills and creativity. The Scotsman balances risk and reward to perform tricks on his Santa Cruz Trial Bike that can't really be possible: such as a front flip over a staircase in front of Alcatraz Prison or the "Chain Ride" at Fort Point.
