Since its inception in 2017, Cyclingworld Europe has established itself as an important platform for the bicycle and e-bike industry. It took place for the seventh time in 2025. From 28 to 30 March 2025, visitors were able to discover the latest trends at the Areal Böhler in Düsseldorf. With over 450 brands, there was a wide range of innovations and trends that were of interest to both sports and leisure cyclists. With its imposing industrial halls and surrounding grounds, the charismatic grounds of the Areal Böhler provide an ideal setting for the presentation of exciting and stylish bicycle products as well as new product innovations with new ideas. The outdoor test track, where a wide variety of bikes can be tried out, is also always very popular.
There is a huge variety of bikes, e-bikes and accessories on over 18,000 square metres. There are new products for the coming season to discover, ranging from cult bikes to bike fashion and art. The offer is complemented by special areas and test rides that allow you to interact with the products. According to trade fair director Stefan Maly, the bicycle is a promising means of transport for the future despite economic challenges. The organisers had expected 25,000 visitors, but 27,000 actually attended, 15 percent of whom came from abroad, according to the Rheinische Post. In addition, 12,000 test rides were completed on the exhibited bicycles on the grounds.
Cyclingworld Europe offers a platform for dialogue between manufacturers, retail partners and consumers. Project Manager Torsten Abels reports that the 2025 trade fair will continue to be held despite economic challenges in the bicycle industry could appear more diverse, as smaller exhibitors would take over the space of the more reserved larger companies. The increasing number of start-ups is particularly noteworthy, which indicates an unbroken innovative strength in the industry. The trade fair also offers numerous rides and races where you can explore the surrounding area.
Cyclingworld is popular. The rising advance booking figures could point to a record number of visitors in 2025. In addition to exciting technical developments, Cyclingworld Europe offers an extensive supporting programme that also appeals to families. A newly structured Kids World and an adventure course will give the youngest visitors the opportunity to practise their skills in a fun way. The city of Düsseldorf is also organising a cargo special aimed at companies interested in cargo bikes. Presentations and test rides will highlight the advantages and leasing options of cargo bikes.
Not forgetting numerous gravel and road bike rides. And if all goes well, there will also be a cyclocross race again this year. According to the Cyclingworld organisation team, this is currently being planned.
