New Leatt sunglasses collection

Leatt is expanding its eyewear range with a comprehensive selection of performance and lifestyle sunglasses. Each model offers optical precision, protection and comfort. The main difference between the various models lies in the shape of the lenses: cylindrical lenses, as used in the RideViz and MadViz models, offer a wider field of vision with a higher profile and a modern wrap-around design. Toric lenses, used in the SpeedViz model, provide excellent clarity of vision with better aerodynamics and wind protection. All Leatt sunglasses feature environmentally friendly biopolymer components, non-slip rubber temples and an adjustable nose bridge for a secure fit.

The performance models are available with different lens technologies, including the photochromic lens with 25 to 90 per cent VLT (Visible Light Transmission). A VLT of 90 per cent means that the lens transmits almost all available light - it appears almost completely clear in dark or shaded conditions. According to Leatt, this is the clearest state of any photochromic lens on the market. The lens is also said to have a particularly fast transition speed, darkening to 25 per cent VLT in bright sunlight to reduce glare and ensure good vision in changing light conditions. Other lens technologies include Cryztal (contrast enhancing for better detail), Iriz (mirrored to reduce glare) and Cryztal Iriz, a combination of both technologies.

Model variants and equipment

The RideViz is available in two frame versions - Pro with a full frame and Lite with an open lower frame. Both versions are also available in a narrower Small fit. The RideViz Pro models are supplied with a replacement Cryztal Rose lens, with the exception of the models with photochromatic lenses. The SpeedViz has the same structure as the Lite and Pro versions, but utilises a toric lens for improved optical precision. SpeedViz Pro models include a clear replacement lens, with the exception of photochromic models.

It is available in one size with non-interchangeable lenses. Prices for the sunglasses range from 100 to 180 euros, with the photochromic models marking the upper end of the price scale.
