Alpina is expanding its range of protective equipment for young mountain bikers. With the Alpina Apax Jr. Mips helmet and the Turbo Pro Youth sports goggles, the manufacturer is presenting two new products that have been specially developed for children and young people. The combination is designed to offer young riders both protection and comfort - whether on the way to school, the pump track or challenging trails. According to the manufacturer, the Alpina Apax Jr. Mips is one of the lightest helmets in its category and combines low weight with high stability, while the Turbo Pro Youth goggles with a discreet nose suspension and rubberised temples ensure a secure fit.

Lightweight helmet with Mips technology

The Apax Jr. Mips helmet was specially designed by Alpina for off-road use and is intended to offer a particularly robust construction thanks to its inmould production. A key safety feature is the lowered temple and rear section, which offers additional protection off-road. The integrated Mips system (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is designed to reduce rotational forces in the event of a fall and thus minimise the risk of injury. The Run System Ergo Flex ensures a perfect fit, which fixes the helmet evenly in a 360-degree circumference and, according to the manufacturer, is easy to adjust. The removable padding allows for easy cleaning and is designed to guarantee a permanently fresh feel. Especially on hot days, young riders benefit from the generously dimensioned ventilation openings, which ensure effective cooling. Practical details such as the height-adjustable visor and an integrated fly screen make the Apax Jr. Mips a functional companion on demanding trails.

Alpina sports glasses with customisable elements

The Turbo Pro Youth sports glasses from Alpina is aimed at sporty, active young people who value a modern look without compromising on functionality. The design is characterised by a barely visible nose clip, which is intended to give the glasses an elegant appearance. At the same time, great importance was attached to wearing comfort during development: Rubberised temple tips are designed to ensure a non-slip fit, while the adjustable nose rubber allows for individual adjustment. A discreetly integrated ventilation system is designed to prevent fogging of the lenses and ensure air circulation without creating a disturbing draught. A practical feature is the easily interchangeable lens, which offers flexibility in different light conditions. A metal plate with logo on the temples serves as a visual highlight, giving the sporty design a high-quality character. However, the most important aspect remains the protection: according to the manufacturer, the glasses offer 100 per cent protection against UV-A, UV-B and UV-C rays and thus comprehensively protect the eyes of young athletes from harmful sunlight.

Versatile colour variants for every taste

The Alpina Apax Jr. Mips helmet is available in sizes 51-56 centimetres and therefore fits most children and teenagers. The colour palette includes five different variants, ranging from subtle to eye-catching shades. The Olive Matt version offers a subdued look for fans of muted colours, while the Smoke-Grey Turquoise Matt, Royal-Blue Matt, Midnight-Purple Matt and Lemon-Yellow Matt versions provide colourful accents.

The Alpina Turbo Pro Youth goggles are also available in four different colours: Black Matt with Red Mirror lens, Berry Gloss with Purple Mirror lens, Blue Matt with Red Mirror lens and White Matt with Blue Mirror lens. Alpina also offers a separately available clear lens, which can be used in poor light conditions or at dusk. Thanks to the wide range of colour combinations, the helmet and goggles can be perfectly matched or deliberately used as a contrast - depending on the young rider's personal taste.
