The new children's helmet from Unit 1 called Sparky already reveals in its name what it can do - namely sparkle. It should not only make cycling more fun for the kids, but of course also ensure safety.
With the new Sparky children's helmet, Unit 1 focuses on a combination of safety and fun. Safety is important, but what really matters when it comes to use? We have explained this in this article.
The new helmet has an integrated light system that children can interact with directly. Kids can playfully find the optimum light setting. At the same time, this function serves to increase visibility and therefore safety in road traffic.
Another design feature is the variable silicone inserts, which give each helmet a personalised touch. They are available in three different shapes: Dino, Lightning and Spikes.
Despite its playful approach, the Sparky is a fully certified bike helmet that fulfils all relevant safety standards.
Unit 1 states that the helmet is not just a toy, but is primarily intended to ensure children's safety. But with its playful design, the child prefers to wear this helmet. The Sparky should become a natural companion when cycling and encourage children to cycle more often and more safely.
According to Unit 1, it takes a holistic approach to safety. The helmet should function in all phases of a possible accident: before, during and after an accident. The visibility and predictability of the rider on the road are at the centre of accident prevention. According to the manufacturer, the helmets offer a high level of protection in the event of an impact and comply with the latest certification standards. All models are also equipped with the MIPS system, which is designed to offer additional protection in the event of rotational forces.
The Unit 1 Sparky children's helmet currently costs 107 euros on the Unit 1 website (incl. 1 set of silicone inserts). There is a 5 per cent discount for the start of the market launch. The fun package with 3 sets costs 125 euros. If you need two children's helmets straight away, you can also buy the duo package with 3 sets of silicone inserts each - for 235 euros. The Sparky family package includes a Sparky Junior helmet and 3 sets of silicone inserts, an Aura helmet for adults and a remote control for operating the LED field. There is even a 20 per cent starting discount here. Price: 342.60 euros.
