The fluffy inner lining makes a positive impression the very first time you put them on. The soft inner lining feels comfortable against the skin and provides a noticeable layer of warmth. This is particularly beneficial on long rides, relaxed trail rides or the daily commute to work.
Weighing 290 grams in size L, the Gonso It is, however, one of the heavier models in the test. The higher weight is due to the comparatively bulky thermal material. On the other hand, the jersey feels pleasantly warm as soon as you put it on.
The Stivio Jersey Therm M’s greatest weakness lies in its weather protection. The jersey does not feature a wind- or water-repellent membrane and scores just 4.0 in this category.
The fabric therefore offers significantly less protection against wind, wet conditions and long descents than many modern weather-resistant jerseys. Anyone cycling in changeable conditions should carry a wind vest or a light rain jacket.
On dry autumn and spring days, however, the lack of a membrane can actually be an advantage. Moisture is wicked away more easily, helping the jersey maintain a comfortable body temperature. As soon as wind or rain come into play, however, the design reaches its limits.
The score of 1.6 for fit and comfort confirms the positive impression gained in practice. The Gonso is comfortable to wear and allows for freedom of movement, without adopting the form-fitting, race-oriented design of many sporty long-sleeved jerseys.
Mountain bikers in particular, who prioritise comfort on long tours or leisurely rides, will benefit from the more generous fit. The wide range of sizes, from XS to 3XL, further expands the range of uses.
The concealed zip enhances comfort around the neck and makes it easier to regulate body temperature. At the same time, the jersey ensures sufficient freedom of movement whilst cycling.
BIKE awards a mark of 3.0 for features and functionality. The features are deliberately kept simple and focus on the most important aspects.
Features include a concealed zip and reflective material for improved visibility in low light. However, you won’t find any sophisticated weather protection features, silicone cuffs or a host of additional functions.
Anyone looking for a technically sophisticated cycling jersey will find alternatives with more comprehensive functionality in the test line-up. The Gonso, on the other hand, focuses on comfort and ease of use for everyday wear.
With a retail price of 139.95 euros, the Stivio Jersey Therm M is one of the more affordable models in the comparison test. Whilst buyers will have to make some compromises in terms of weather protection compared with many weather-resistant jerseys featuring a membrane, they do, in return, get a pleasantly warm and comfortable long-sleeved jersey.
With an overall mark of 2.8, the model ranks towards the bottom of the test field. Nevertheless, it offers good value for money for riders who deliberately choose not to use a membrane and who mainly ride in dry conditions.

The Gonso Stivio Jersey Therm M impresses with its pleasantly soft thermal fabric and a comfortable fit. Mountain bikers in particular, who aren’t looking for a tight-fitting race jersey, will benefit from the relaxed fit and high level of comfort. When it comes to weather protection, however, Gonso has its limitations: Without a wind- or water-repellent membrane, the jersey offers significantly less protection than modern weather-resistant jerseys. On the other hand, the price remains attractive. A good choice for cool, dry autumn and spring days, as well as leisurely rides where comfort is more important than maximum weather protection.
