Leatt is expanding its Gravity portfolio with the new Gravity 5.0 - a full-face helmet specifically designed for trail, enduro and downhill use. Striking features: low weight, a new BOA fit system and advanced protection technology on the inside. We categorise what the new full-face helmet can do.

Topics in this article

With the Gravity 5.0 Leatt is pursuing a clear approach: more comfort and customisability without compromising on safety. To achieve this, the South African manufacturer is using the new BOA FS2 Fit Systemwhich has not previously been used in this helmet class.
The system allows a Fine micro-adjustment via a rotary wheelThis allows the helmet to be adjusted precisely to the head. The whole thing is complemented by Adjustable cheek pads as well as upholstery options of different thicknesses.

Another practical detail: The Fidlock magnetic bucklewhich makes it easier to put on and take off the helmet even when wearing gloves.

Lightweight construction with a focus on ventilation

With a weight of around 710 grams (size M) the Gravity 5.0 is one of the lighter full-face helmets in its class. The low weight is combined with a pronounced Ventilation structure combinedwhich is designed to enable a constant airflow - both on uphills and long descents. The helmet is therefore clearly aimed at riders who want to wear their full-face helmet not only in the bike park, but also on longer tours.

Flexibility is also offered by the Removable mouthguard coverwhich can be used to adjust the airflow depending on the weather and conditions. For wet conditions, there is also a Visor extensionwhich protects against splashing water without restricting the field of vision.

Advanced protection technology

Inside, Leatt relies on the new 360° Turbine EVO technology. It is based on the familiar turbine concept, but has been redesigned. The aim is to, Reduce rotational forces in the event of falls and improve energy absorption at both low and high speeds. In addition, a Dual-density cushioning foam which is designed to better absorb different impact energies.

What the editorial team says

The Leatt Gravity 5.0 is not a radical newcomer, but a Consistent further development of the full-face concept. The combination of low weight and high customisability is particularly striking - two points that are often more decisive in everyday life than pure safety values.

The new BOA-Fit system offers real added value, especially for riders who want to wear their helmet for long periods and fine-tune it. The advanced Turbine technology and the wide range of certifications provide the necessary confidence in tough conditions.

Compared to established models from Fox, Troy Lee Designs or POC, the Gravity 5.0 positions itself as a modern, versatile gravity helmet with a strong focus on comfort and customisation.
