With the Kyros, Fizik is launching a lightweight all-round helmet for road, gravel and cross-country.
Fizik presents the Kyros, a helmet that is suitable for road bikes, gravel and cross-country. Despite its low weight, the sporty model is equipped with the MIPS Evolve Core System to reduce rotational forces in the event of a fall. A sophisticated adjustment system with three positions for the neck support enables a customised fit. The helmet weighs 275 grams in size S, is CE-certified and available in four colours.

The Italian manufacturer Fizik is expanding its helmet collection with a model that is aimed at riders who don't like to be restricted in their area of use. From tarmac to gravel tracks and cross-country trails, the Kyros is designed to cover all aspects of cycling.

Its in-mould EPS-PC construction is designed to combine high safety with low weight. Strategically placed ventilation openings and a large outlet at the back of the head enable a constant flow of air to support heat dissipation. The upper ventilation openings also serve as a goggle holder. The rounded design is intended to reduce volume and weight at the same time.

Security systems and certification

The MIPS Evolve Core System forms a low-friction layer between the inner lining and outer shell. This technology is designed to reduce rotational forces in the event of angled impacts. The EPS-PC shell is designed to distribute impact forces across the entire helmet structure.

A removable rear reflector is included as standard with the Kyros. However, the helmet is also compatible with the Fizik LED rear light, which fits seamlessly into the design and is charged via USB-C. Various light modes are designed to improve visibility in different conditions.

Crown fit adjustment system

The adjustment system offers special height adjustment using removable pins. These can be inserted in three positions to adapt the helmet to different head shapes. A rotary wheel at the back of the head allows fine adjustment of the width and tilt. The tilt adjustment is intended to improve compatibility with goggles on the one hand and to improve the fit at the back of the head on the other. The straps in the ear area cannot be adjusted in favour of a low weight.

Sizes and weights

The Kyros is available in three sizes. Size S covers head circumferences from 52 to 56 centimetres and, according to the manufacturer, weighs 275 grams according to the CE standard or 295 grams according to the CPSC standard - the Kyros is approved according to both the European standard and the American standard. In size M, the Kyros fits 56 to 59 centimetres and weighs 295 grams according to CE or 315 grams according to CPSC. Size L for 59 to 61 centimetres weighs 325 grams according to CE or 335 grams according to CPSC.

The differences in weight between the certifications result from different test requirements. Four colour variants are available for the Kyros: White, Desert Dove, Grey Lavender and Black.
