Santa Cruz presents the Bullit Podium, a limited edition version of its E-Enduro. The new model combines the tried-and-tested Bullit frame with the brand new Fox Podium fork and an exclusive special paint finish. With colour-coordinated Sram Maven brakes, an e*thirteen Sidekick hub and a PowerMore 250 Wh range extender, Santa Cruz is targeting riders who place the highest demands on their e-mountainbike and are prepared to dig deep into their pockets. The Bullit Podium costs a mere 12,999 euros and weighs 22.3 kilograms.
According to the manufacturer, the Bullit frame from Santa Cruz has already established itself as the first choice for long days in the high mountains. The Bullit Podium builds on this foundation and combines it with selected top-class components. The eponymous Fox Podium fork, which has already won the enduro fork test in BIKE 9/25, takes centre stage. The suspension offers 170 millimetres of travel at both the front and rear, which clearly positions the bike in the enduro segment. The suspension utilises a four-bar linkage system which, according to Santa Cruz, is particularly suitable for integrating the motor and offers more clearance for the seat post. The VPP system (Virtual Pivot Point) used on other Santa Cruz models has been deliberately omitted on the Bullit.
The Bullit Podium is available in frame sizes MD to XL and uses an MX wheelset, i.e. 29-inch front wheels combined with 27.5-inch rear wheels. This combination is intended to unite the advantages of both wheel sizes: more traction and stability from the larger front wheel and manoeuvrability from the smaller rear wheel.
The drive unit is the Bosch Performance Line CX motor, which is characterised by power, reliability and good modulation. Power is supplied by a 600 Wh battery in the down tube, supplemented by the supplied 250 Wh PowerMore Range Extender. This combination creates a solid range. On days when the main battery is sufficient - according to the manufacturer for around 1400 to 1800 metres in altitude - you can simply leave the extra weight of the range extender at home.
Santa Cruz also attaches great importance to quality with the limited Bullit and relies on robust bearings, stable parts and high-quality components. As with all Santa Cruz bikes, the bearings are designed to be particularly robust, reliable and easy to maintain. Accordingly, Santa Cruz offers a lifetime guarantee on the frame and bearings of the Bullit Podium - a promise that emphasises the longevity of the product.
