The traditional Swedish company Husqvarna only took off with e-mountain bikes this yearfor 2019, the range has been completely renewed and expanded enormously. The full-suspension bikes rely on a pivoting rear triangle and have been completely revised from the ground up. The 2018 Mountain Cross model is no longer recognisable in the 19 series. The characteristic, movable snake battery has also disappeared from the Husqvarna e-MTB line. Instead, the Schweinfurt-based company has opted for integrated, removable batteries in the down tube, which are available with either 500 or 630 watt hours. Husqvarna is thus increasing the range. The constant remains Shimano's Steps E8000 drive, which will also be used on all e-MTBs in 2019.
The all-purpose machine from Husqvarna comes with 150 millimetres of suspension travel and 27.5-inch wheels including Plus tyres and is therefore aimed at touring riders and sporty trail bikers. There will be four models of the MC.
If you are regularly drawn to particularly challenging terrain and want to go full throttle on rough trails, you should take a closer look at the Hard Cross enduro models. They also roll on 27.5-inch wheels and the suspension provides 180 millimetres of travel. The HC comes in three versions, all with Fox suspension.
Anyone who signs freeride veteran Guido Tschugg must also provide the 2017 Masters downhill world champion with an adequate bike. The E-Downhiller EXC offers 200 millimetres of travel and comes with a double crown fork. The bike should therefore be ready for the wildest freeride and downhill adventures. The EXC 10 features a Fox 40 Float Performance fork and a DHX2 shock, with Shimano's XTR four-piston brakes providing the necessary deceleration.
The Husqvarna hardtail LC has also been completely revised and comes with a Shimano motor and the characteristic Husq-Guard.
