Peak Performance presents a limited-edition mountain bike capsule collection for women in collaboration with German graphic designer and cyclist Amélie Graef. It is part of the brand's new trail range, which includes products for mountain biking, hiking and trail running. The eye-catchers are the prints in the form of cryptic symbols, which often only make sense at second glance, as well as the lettering...
Peak Performance's Trailblazer initiative to promote inclusion in outdoor activities continues with the launch of the limited edition mountain bike collection "Peak Performance x Amélie Graef". The capsule collection is aimed at female adventurers and was developed in close collaboration with Munich-based graphic designer and co-founder of the women's cycling initiative GRL PCK, Amélie Graef. Amélie Graef has used graphic prints to interpret what it means to be a "trail blazer". What does she mean by that?
For me, a trailblazer is a person who wants to go unconventional ways and trusts their gut feeling - a form of energy that I have interpreted here with mantras and symbols - Amélie Graef, designer and cyclist
In addition to the symbols, this unconventional approach is also particularly evident in the lettering and words that adorn the various items of clothing: "Blaze away" (literally "burn away", meaning "shoot away!"), "Your trail, your terms" or "Performance is individual" can often be read and express the designer's feeling - breaking new ground, doing her/his own thing.
The new collection includes a lightweight, water and wind-repellent anorak with high breathability as well as lightweight and durable MTB shorts that can be worn with or without knee pads. The range also includes a long-sleeved and a short-sleeved shirt in a loose fit made of highly breathable material as well as various accessories.
"Peak Performance x Amélie Graef" is available immediately on peakperformance.com and in the new Berlin brand store.
