Suspension manufacturer DVO is collaborating with design label Renen to bring the motocross vibe to mountain bikes and riders. If you want to call a DVO Onyx 38 x Renen and the matching jersey your own, you have to be quick, because the designer parts are strictly limited. Curtain up for perhaps the most exclusive look of the year.

DVO and Renen are certain: style is when the suspension fork matches the jersey. And if it also comes from a limited small series and bears the signature of a cult designer like Pete Fox, the brainchild behind the US label Renen, then the MTB style police will certainly have no objections. This is the first collab project from suspension manufacturer DVO, which has given an Onyx 38 D1 Enduro fork Renen's self-confident graphics and supplied a matching jersey.

The design of the really big names

With the DVO x Renen collection, the American manufacturers want to pay tribute to legendary motocross athletes. From Ricky Johnson (1988) to Damon Bradshaw (1992) and James Stewart (2003), big names in the MX discipline have repeatedly worn the iconic zebra graphics.

To make the collection even more exclusive, the number of pieces is limited to 75 suspension forks and 48 jerseys. The latter, like all Renen clothing, are produced by hand in the USA. Euro prices are not known.

Underneath the Renen design is a DVO Onyx 38 D1 SL Series forkwhose air spring delivers responsive behaviour and at the same time creates a good mix of comfort and support. It is aimed at enduro riders and anyone who wants to tackle challenging trails on knobbly tyres.

In the latest development step, DVO once again took on the bridge and crown of the fork and optimised their stiffness. The suspension experts hope that the improved flex will result in less arm pump, more precision and increased comfort. 160, 170 or 180 millimetres of suspension travel are available. Only 29-inch wheels are available.

With the matching limited edition Renen jersey in a zebra look, bikers should be able to go full throttle on race day. The jersey is based on the Preset model with extra well-ventilated Mesh Drycycle fabric. The Renen jersey is designed to be light, breathable and durable. Available in sizes S to XL.

With only 75 forks and 48 jerseys in total, interested bikers will have to be quick to secure the pieces from the DVO x Renen collection.Photo: DVOWith only 75 forks and 48 jerseys in total, interested bikers will have to be quick to secure the pieces from the DVO x Renen collection.
