With the new Ride Kit 1.0, the protector and clothing specialist Leatt is moving into attractive price territory. The combination of long-sleeved jersey and trousers for downhill and enduro should offer exceptional value for money at a price of 99 euros. A version for children is even available from 89 euros. Despite the favourable price, Leatt promises a high-quality design that is visually and functionally oriented towards more expensive models.

Premium fit at an entry-level price

The Ride Kit 1.0 adopts the cut of the premium Gravity 5.0 model, which was developed in collaboration with the Pivot Factory Racing Team. The sleeves of the jersey are tight and aerodynamic, while the torso area has a looser cut. For the trousers, Leatt relies on tight-fitting lower legs for better aerodynamics, while the knee and thigh sections are wider to offer freedom of movement and space for protectors. According to the manufacturer, the sizing corresponds to the familiar Leatt standard, with the jerseys tending to be slightly wider.

Robust materials with functionality

According to Leatt, robust, flexible and quick-drying materials are used for the Ride Kit 1.0. All fabrics used are certified with the bluesign sustainability seal. The jersey is made from a polymer fibre/elastane fabric. The body of the jersey is very lightweight and the sleeves are super-elastic for a high level of comfort. As a practical detail, Leatt has integrated a goggle wiper on the inner hem. A light, stretchy fabric is used for the thigh area of the trousers. The lower leg section in the knee and shin area is made of thicker, more durable material. The trousers also have a PFC-free DWR C0 coating for improved weather protection.

Sophisticated details for ventilation and storage space

To improve air circulation, Leatt has integrated perforated ventilation openings on the inside of the knees and the rear side panels of the trousers. A thigh pocket with zip and a back pocket with Velcro fastener are available for the safe storage of small items. The waistband is equipped with silicone grippers and a moto buckle for a precise fit.

Versatile range of use from downhill to trail

Although the Ride Kit 1.0 was primarily developed for downhill racing, according to Leatt it is also used by many sponsored riders outside the DH sector. Recommended area of use: from downhill and enduro to trail riding. Visually, the focus is on a discreet design with minimalist branding and clear colour blocks instead of eye-catching prints. The trousers are only available in black. The jerseys are available in black, titanium, rust and teal, while the children's version is available in black and rust.
