Corratec is integrating the new Bosch Performance Line CX motor into all models from model year 2025, but is leaving the silhouettes of the e-bikes largely untouched. The Raublinger company will therefore be using the new Swabian drive across the board, from Urban to Trekking to SUV and E-MTB, with only the E-Enduro iLink 180 with carbon frame remaining with Shimano and not being revised.
For model year 2025, all bikes will also be equipped with theft protection via the Tracker C-Finder based on the Apple Air Tag. The new cable routing with a separate cable duct in the down tube should ensure improved organisation in the frame. Together with the new drive, this should make the Corratec bikes fit for the future.
The most important update to the Corratec e-bikes is the new drive system from Bosch. The new CX motor delivers up to 600 watts and 85 Newton metres of peak power, just like its predecessor. However, the new motor is slightly more compact and lighter, runs more quietly under load and no longer rattles over bumps. The new Powertube batteries with 600 and 800 watt hours offer an excellent range and the riding experience has been further improved.
Another key feature of the new bikes is the C-Finder. The chip integrated into the frame, based on Apple's Air-Tag, allows you to keep an eye on your bike at all times. The feature was already supplied ex works on many e-bikes in 2024. The tracking device is permanently integrated into the frame. The tracker does not need to be charged. It gets its power directly from the main battery and remains active for several months even when the bike is not being ridden.
One thing is clear: even with the new Bosch system, Corratec's robust e-low step-through Life will not set a weight record on the scales. Nevertheless, the new battery with a full 800 watt hours saves a good 300 grams compared to its predecessor and gives the uncomplicated everyday bike an enormous range. For less weight, you can also choose the more favourable 600 watt battery. A success: Corratec can continue to adhere to a weight allowance of 180 kilograms. The narrow, additional top tube is already familiar from the bikes with the previous Bosch. It is easy to grip by hand and improves the handling of the bike in everyday use. The C-Finder helps to locate the bike more easily in the event of theft. In addition to the classic version, the e-bike is also available with a continuously variable Enviolo gear hub and ABS, with prices ranging from 3999 to 6299 euros.
The robust Life (above) is already designed as a light off-road SUV fully. The Corratec MTC 100 Wave goes one step further with full suspension and 100 millimetres of travel at the rear, but also retains the low entry. In contrast to its predecessor, the battery on the model with the new Bosch motor can be practically removed from the top and, as always, is secured with a key. Corratec's theft protection C-Finder is also on board here. Available with 600 or 800 watt hours for 4999 or 5599 euros.
If you look closely, you will recognise that the MTC 120 inherits the design language of Corratec's E-MTBs such as the new E-Power RS 160. In keeping with this, the Raublinger company has also given its SUV the same updates: the aluminium frame has been given sanded seams throughout and a more linear design language, the C-finder and the new cable duct. But with 120 millimetre mudguards and pannier rack, the SUV Fully bridges the gap between everyday use and off-road.
The special model MTC 140 "Huberbuam" goes one step further. Inspired by the ideas of the Bavarian climbing duo, this model with plenty of suspension travel is designed precisely for travelling to the starting point of the mountain tour without complications and with luggage, such as climbing equipment, in difficult terrain. Corratec only installs minimalist mudguards, but still relies on lights and a pannier rack. The price range for Corratec's "big" SUVs is tight. All variants of the MTC 120 and 140 are priced between 4999 and 5999 euros.
