Continental is launching three new knobbly tyres for cross-country, trail and all-mountain bikes. The new additions to the Conti line-up go by the names Dubnital, Trinotal and Magnotal. Linguistically, they fit in perfectly with their well-known siblings Xynotal, Kryptotal, Argotal and Hydrotalwhich appeal to downhill skiers in particular.

These tyres have already impressed us with their grip and puncture protection during testing. The new tyres are intended to replace the established Race King, Cross King and Mountain King models. They are therefore eagerly awaited. In this article, we explain the competences of the individual tyres with the cryptic designations.

Grip and propulsion for every trail

Continental kept successful models such as the Race King on the market for a long time. At the same time, they introduced a new gravity range, which was very popular with enduro and downhill riders. Now it's time to pick up the endurance and touring faction with the Dubnital, Trinotal and Magnotal variants.

The new tyres are designed to deliver performance comparable to that of the pioneers of the new generation while retaining the proven properties of their predecessors. To achieve this, Continental has opted for new profiles and optimised carcasses. These have been developed on the basis of Conti's many years of experience and in co-operation with numerous professional athletes.

Continental Dubnital

The new Continental is aimed at cross-country bikers and shows its strengths above all on dry to slightly damp tracks. It should be the ideal choice for hard and rocky courses to finish on the podium. The Dubnital replaces the discontinued Race King and comes with a completely new lug profile. In addition, a revised rubber compound should guarantee maximum efficiency, grip and control at high speeds. The Continental Dubnital is available now.

Continental Trinotal

The new Continen Trinotal was primarily developed with a focus on versatility. It should be able to handle everything from dry to wet and from hard to loose. Conti sees its area of application primarily in the cross-country and down-country sector.

As a rear tyre, however, the Trinotal could also appeal to weight-conscious trail bikers. Grip and stability should be among the core competences of the new all-rounder. The Trinotal is the successor to the Cross King and promises precise riding characteristics on a wide variety of surfaces.

The new Continental Magnotal is aimed at all-mountain and trail bikers who need to rely on their tyres in both dry and wet conditions. The successor to the Mountain King should also be able to handle muddy forest ground and is positioned midway between cross country and gravity.
