New saddle concepts
Better ergonomics and less weight are the constant challenge for saddle designers. With elaborate high-tech processes, new materials and unconventional concepts, top dogs such as Fizik, Specialized and SQlab, as well as newcomers such as Bike Yoke and Everve, are driving seat evolution forward.
Buying advice for saddles
Does the perfect saddle even exist? The search for it is quite complex, but not hopeless. Our all-round advice prevents wrong conclusions and pain. We also explain the most important parameters such as width, frame material, padding hardness, contours, upper material and the short-fit concept. This won't get you straight to the perfect saddle for your backside, but it will systematically help you to keep the number of test laps you need to do manageable.
Setting matter
The fitting also determines the seating comfort. This is how it works with the adjustment. Additionally we reveal how to get rid of knee pain when cycling.
