With the Vento Argo X1 bicycle saddle, Fizik is expanding the product range of the Argo family. The X1 was designed as an off-road saddle for various surfaces and sporty off-road applications. Thanks to its comfort features, it is designed to serve as a solid base even in extreme conditions on the trail.
According to the manufacturer, the X1 is designed as an off-road saddle with a short-nose design for more stability and support on technical cross-country trails. According to Fizik, the short saddle nose promotes a more aggressive, more forward leaning riding position on cross-country or marathon MTBs as well as on gravel bikes.
The Fizik Vento Argo X1 is a flat saddle with a gently lowered transition from the nose to the slightly raised wings, which should allow the rider to pedal efficiently in any position. Wider saddle noses can provide appropriate support and more grip on steep climbs. You can move slightly forwards on them without immediately losing comfort because a saddle nose that is too pointed is distracting.
When the seatpost is lowered, the bike is easier to control with the wider nose and leaning leg, for example when cornering. Its shortness also means that less of the saddle protrudes into the leg's range of movement and is therefore less of a hindrance on steep and bumpy trails.
According to Fizik, the Vento Argo X1 saddle offers more comfort and stability thanks to the combination of a reinforced carbon-based nylon shell and stiff carbon struts. Equipped in this way, the X1 also saves weight and weighs less than 200 grams. The new off-road saddle from Fizik has an ergonomic cut-out in the centre of the saddle, which is intended to provide additional pressure relief in sensitive areas and thus increase comfort when riding a bike.
According to Fizik, the rounded contours make it possible to position the legs quickly on the saddle without getting stuck. The flexible edges of the saddle cover can follow the movements of the inside of the legs and adapt to them. A rubber layer at the bottom of the cut-out in the centre of the saddle acts as a splash guard, keeping water, dirt and mud out during wild rides on more or less paved roads and singletrack trails.
Whether on a cross-country or marathon course, cyclo-cross or gravel bike: the challenges of sporty off-road cycling, steep inclines or rapidly changing conditions on the trail are always the same. The new Vento Argo X1 off-road bike saddle from Fizik is designed as an all-rounder to be the perfect companion on the bike in all situations.
The Fizik Vento Argo X1 bicycle saddle is now available in two versions, 140 or 150 millimetres wide, and costs 199 euros (RRP) in both versions.
