With the Rally series, Garmin presents new power meter pedals for bike sports. The XC version, which is compatible with Shimano SPD cleats, is particularly exciting for mountain bikers.

With its light and precise Vector pedals Garmin has been at the forefront of the power meter market for racing cyclists for ten years. Now the US company also wants to supply mountain bikers and off-road cyclists with power meters. With the Rally pedals, Garmin is now launching a new product series of power meters. The slim pedals have been specially developed for the needs of cyclists who want to effectively increase and control their training with the help of power measurement. Compared to the Vector, the measuring unit inside the pedal axle has been redesigned and further developed to meet the tougher demands of off-road riding. The Rally watt measuring systems have a Battery life of up to 120 hours and can be mounted like any other pedal. A CR1/3N or two LR44 batteries are used. The Rally XC is specially designed for mountain bikes. The MTB powermeter is available in two versions: the one-sided Rally XC100 measures on the left pedal both the cadence and the power. With the Rally XC200Measuring units are inserted in both pedals, allowing data to be collected independently for the right and left leg. The pedal body can be separated from the measuring axle and wear parts can be serviced.

Versatile in use

Based on the performance data and the Cycling Dynamics functions from Garmin, training can be adapted to specific strengths and weaknesses in order to continuously improve your own riding performance. The Rally XC200 pedals also record the time the rider has spent sitting or standing and allow conclusions to be drawn about the effectiveness of the respective position. In addition, the "power phase" is determined, which indicates when the drive force begins and ends in the pedalling cycle. The power meter pedals can also be connected to Edge computers and the Garmin Connect app. The app can be used to upload data wirelessly and update the Rally software. The Rally power meter systems are easy to install. This makes it easy to quickly swap between different bikes.
