DT Swiss is giving the three versions of its 1900 Spline wheels an update. The aluminium round wheels for Cross Country, All Mountain and Enduro will come with a modern Ratchet LN freehub in 2022.

The 1900 Spline wheelset is the perennial favourite of the Swiss wheel manufacturer. In 2022, the mid-range wheels will be equipped with the new Ratchet LN freehub for the first time. The power is not transmitted via three teeth as usual, but two toothed discs ensure a complete power connection. Similar to the Ratchet EXP freehub, which is installed in the high-quality DT Swiss hubs is used. This is intended to significantly increase durability. The toothed discs are optionally available with 18, 24, 36 or 64 teeth. The more teeth, the less free travel you have when pedalling.

X 1900 Spline

The aluminium cross-country wheel should be at least as light and robust as its predecessor. The rim is also designed for low air pressures to maximise traction. The brake disc is clamped with a centre lock. For weight reasons DT Swiss opted for an inner rim width of 25 millimetres. The wheelset is said to weigh 1844 grams and is available from 449 euros.

M 1900 Spline

Fast uphill, even faster downhill. The M version is designed for trail use. An inner rim width of 30 millimetres should make the rim robust and emphasise its trail character. Despite this, the M version is still very light at 1894 grams. The all-mountain version is also available from 449 euros.

E 1900 Spline

The E version should be equipped for tough enduro use. An inner rim width of 30 millimetres and reinforced rims should withstand even the tough demands of the EWS. At 2004 grams, the E version is the heaviest of the three 1900 Spline wheels. The E 1900 Spline also costs 449 euros. More information and specifications can be found at www.dtswiss.com
