SQlab presents the 721 2.0 Short and 702 2.0 Short grips. Both models have been designed for bicycles with twist-grip shifters and feature a shortened right-hand grip. The ergonomic wing shape is designed to increase the contact area and distribute pressure evenly. A lamellar structure provides cushioning.

SQlab has developed two new handlebar models for city and trekking bikes. The 721 2.0 Short and the 702 2.0 Short are designed for riders with an upright riding position. The right-hand side of both handlebars is shortened to make room for twist shifters. The left grip retains its standard length.

Ergonomic design

A pronounced wing on the outer side increases the contact area for the hand. The raised outer side, in combination with the slightly sloping grip surface, shifts the load towards the edge of the hand. On the underside is a wave-shaped ergonomic bar. This serves as a guide for the fingers and defines the grip position. A soft lamellar structure runs across the entire surface and is designed to absorb vibrations. The area around the base of the thumb joint is specifically supported.

Three sizes with proportional adjustment

The handles are available in sizes S, M and L. When adjusting the size, not only does the circumference change, but the length and dimensions of the ergonomic wing also change proportionally. This three-dimensional adjustment is designed to enable a natural hand position.

Features and compatibility

Both models feature an integrated chip element on the outside. It finishes off the handle and provides the basis for the optional fitting of a mirror. The handles are compatible with SQlab Innerbarends®, which allow for an additional hand position.
