Should be able to take a beating: The new Marzocchi Bomber Z.

With the Bomber Z, Marzocchi is expanding its suspension fork line-up with a new 38 mm fork for enduro riders, freeriders and e-mountain bikers.

With the Freeride fork Super Z Marzocchi ventured back into the premium segment for the first time last year. Now the Italian label, which now belongs to Fox, is launching another fork with 38 mm stanchions. The Bomber Z is intended to combine the high-quality chassis of the Super Z with a somewhat simpler and therefore more favourable damping. A stiff and functional fork that doesn't break the budget, that's the claim.

The Bomber Z has the same chassis as the higher-quality Super Z from Marzocchi. This means that the stanchions measure 38 millimetres and the triple clamp has the typical Marzocchi M design. Air outlets at the rear of the downtubes serve to remove back pressure from the downtubes. So far, so high quality.

The Bomber Z is somewhat more favourable due to the simpler damping. The Grip damper is only easily adjustable in compression and rebound and is therefore likely to be more favourable. the grip damping familiar from Fox's Performance range correspond. The price of the new Super Z is relatively high in comparison. Marzocchi estimates 1169 euros - the Bomber Z is therefore only 120 euros cheaper than the Super Z with the higher quality Grip-X damping. After all, the MSRPs of Fox and Marzocchi are generally high. It is possible that the Bomber Z will soon be available at a much more attractive price.
