Specialised recalls batteries
Specialised is recalling some batteries. Around 15 per cent of the batteries from the first Levo and Kenevo generation up to 2019 are affected, which can lead to short circuits.

In batteries of the first Kenevo- and Levo generation from Specialized, as well as in retrofit batteries built between November 2017 and March 2019, short circuits can occur. The cause is probably a partially faulty seal on the control unit. When washing at high pressure, water can penetrate and reach the protective circuit board, where in rare cases it triggers a short circuit. Around 15 per cent of the batteries produced in the above-mentioned period are affected and can be identified by part number and date of manufacture. Those affected can report the problem free of charge to their nearest Specialised-Have it repaired by a specialist dealer.

You can find the exact list of affected batteries here >>here<<.
