Most people are probably familiar with the Toilet Paper Wall Challenge from the animal world. There are countless videos of cats and dogs taking on this challenge on the internet - albeit with a different goal...
In the Toilet Paper Wall Challenge, rows of toilet paper are stacked one after the other. If the cat or dog makes it over the first row, the second row is added. This procedure is continued until the animal can no longer get over it or the ceiling of the flat is reached.
Social media biker Tomomi Nishikubo has discovered this challenge for himself. On his YouTube channel, he presents his bike skills to his fans at irregular intervals - sometimes in the city and sometimes in nature. For the Japanese rider, the Toilet Paper Wall Challenge was not just about simply jumping over the stacked toilet paper rolls, but also about looking particularly cool. Of course: the Ninja Trials Rider shines in both challenges.
One row after the other was negotiated forwards, backwards, sideways and with 180 or 360-degree turns. Tomomi quickly worked his way up until he knocked over two rollers for the first time on the trick jump at row 8 (85.6 cm). The next attempt went better and he moved up a level.
The next time he touched the obstacle was at eleven stacked rollers (117.7 cm). On his second attempt, however, the Ninja Trials rider also made it over this height. In the end, he had to admit defeat with twelve rolls, but remained optimistic: "I think I beat the cats ;-) Unfortunately, 12 rolls were no longer possible. Maybe I'll manage that one day."
It is clear that the twelve rollers would hardly have been the final opponent for domestic cats, which can jump 1.5 to 2 metres high without any problems. Nevertheless, jumping 117 cm high on a bike is very impressive. And at the end of the day, it's all about entertainment - and that was provided!
