The video "Chase Her" totally shocked me. Tomomi rides really, really well. His technical tricks remind me of Fabio Wibmer and Danny MacAskill. I also find the exclusively positive user comments very likeable," says the enthusiastic Managing Director of RASOULUTION following the recent collaboration agreement.
The person Tarek talks about so enthusiastically is Tomomi Nishikubo. The Japanese rider is a true artist on the bike. The 28-year-old started riding motocross at the age of five. Seven years later, his passion for bikes without an engine was ignited and Tomomi started his trials career. In 2013, he took part in the UCI Trials World Championships and finished 25th, while his greatest successes as Japanese Trials Champion in 2016 and 2017 made him a household name within the country. However, Tomomi is not only at home on the trials bike. His broad spectrum is illustrated by his win in the Japanese Downhill Series in 2018, and his switch to street trials also paid off, as his victory in trials at the Ninja Games last year showed. Today, his favourite disciplines include trials, downhill and freeride. He combines all these qualities spectacularly in his great passion - making videos.
Thanks to the high-quality clips paired with his riding skills, he also made a name for himself beyond the national border. "Story structure, humour and above all his riding are really good. In his last video "Chase Her" in particular, there was some really technical and cool stuff that I can only say: "Hats off. Pretty rad." He has a cool style and understands how to convey it well in videos," says his role model Fabio Wibmer enthusiastically.
Tomomi currently works part-time as a filmmaker and consultant for social network services in Yokohama. The collaboration with RASOULUTION should help him take the next step in his career. "I have some big film projects in my head that I really want to realise. RASOULUTION is not only the ideal partner at my side for this. I was also immediately impressed by their extraordinary network and professionalism. I'm thrilled to be part of the team, which also has my idols Danny and Fabio under contract," says the likeable Japanese filmmaker, who is looking forward to the collaboration and can hardly wait for one thing: "I hope I can travel to Europe soon and travel with them."
Thanks to his riding skills and his good eye for video productions, Tarek sees very good opportunities for the Japanese rider to establish himself in the global bike scene: "Tomomi has huge potential. We want to help him bring his passion to the world so that he can inspire even more people and motivate them to ride."
