In front of 600-700 spectators, the downhill elite will start the 2021 World Cup season on the World Cup course, while Leogang will be one of the last tests of strength in cross-country before the Olympics.

After the short-term organisation of the Triple World Cup 2020 now follows the first double World Cup in Leogang. On the weekend of 11 to 13 June 2021, the world's best bikers from the cross-country and downhill disciplines will compete. The races are special in that they are one of the last major tests of strength in cross-country before Tokyo Olympics is. The Olympic nominations have already taken place. This means that the nominated riders will prepare themselves in Leogang in the best possible way for the highlight of the season at the end of July. Those who are not allowed to go to the Olympics will be all the more motivated to aim for a top place in the World Cup. But not only the cross-country racers will get their money's worth.

The downhill elite will come together for the World Cup opener on last year's World Cup course, as Fort William has been cancelled and Maribor postponed. After a long winter break, Leogang is therefore the first World Cup race in downhill. Who has trained best over the winter will be revealed on 12 June. It should be a really exciting race in every discipline.

600-700 spectators in seats

But there is even more good news for the double World Cup. Leogang in particular is on fire for this first big event after the Corona winter. Spectators will finally be allowed again at the Out of Bounds festival. The number of spectators is limited and the safety requirements for the organisers are high. Nevertheless, the organising team in Leogang wants to bring spectators and fans back to the track. On 11 and 12 June, 600 spectators will be allowed on the race course, on Sunday 13 June even 700 people. Safety first, which is why there will be allocated seating and the 3-G rule is a basic requirement. The seats should provide a good view of the race track and the video screen. Ticket sales have already started.
