The BAM! (Bicycle Adventure Meeting) invites cycling enthusiasts from all over Europe to the Villa Contarini park in Piazzola sul Brenta near Padua from 6 to 8 June 2025. The three-day festival dedicated to travelling by bike promises a varied programme with countless events.
BAM! is aimed at anyone who enjoys travelling outdoors, exploring new paths and is interested in a conscious, decelerated lifestyle. The programme includes travel lectures, workshops, concerts, readings and discussions. The programme also includes joint tours. Year after year, the free event attracts several thousand visitors.
The festival begins on Friday with the setting up of the tents and the reunion of old friendships. Those who wish can raise a glass to their own journey by bike. In the evening, Dutch artist Quinda Verheul will show how she transforms physical exertion into creative forms of expression. The musical evening programme will be provided by the Orkestrada Circus Collective and Malore Improvviso with vinyl sounds. Visitors can dance at the Ciclodisco, while the CicloCinema offers a cinema evening with electricity generated by pedal power.
Saturday presents the full diversity of the BAM! - Numerous rides invite you to join in, including tours with FIAB, 3T & Santini, Elite, Bergamont and Cicli Barco. Environmentally conscious cyclists can take part in the "Garbage Ride" for a cleaner environment. Alternatively, there is a wild herb tour or a cargo bike parade to choose from.
On stage, international guests from the cycling community will discuss topics such as inclusion and accessibility as well as the social value of decelerated travelling off the beaten track. The Saturday evening will be opened by the band Balkan Bazar with rousing sounds, followed by DJ Aladyn from the well-known Milan radio station Radio Deejay.
On Sunday, joint rides are once again on the programme. The "Breakfast Ride" with 3T, a Brompton tour in collaboration with the Scavezzon Bike Store and Bromscape as well as an FIAB tour that combines nature and local traditions offer something for everyone. I
n the "Postcard is Not Dead" workshop, participants can design creative memories. The CargoBAM! parade will have the cargo bikes rolling through the park once again. Finally, the Al Dente Trio will bring the festival to an atmospheric close with a mixture of jazz, blues and stories.
Participation in BAM! is free of charge. Limited pitches are available for tents directly in the park, which can be booked in advance via the website bameurope.it can be reserved.
