Trek Precaliber 16

The "Precaliber 16" model from Trek, released in 2024, is a children’s bike designed specifically for young riders. Priced at 299 EUR, it offers solid specifications and high quality. The frame is made of aluminium and is a 16-inch model, making it lightweight yet robust. The maximum load capacity is 36 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 8 kg, making it easy to handle and transport.

Both the front and rear brakes are aluminium V-brakes, also known as linear pull brakes. These brakes are specifically designed for children and provide reliable braking performance. The fork is made of steel and is also designed to accommodate cantilever brakes.

The bike is fitted with Kids Satellite pedals, which have a 9/16" thread. The crankset is made of aluminium and features a 26-tooth steel chainring as well as a chain guard. The grips are 107 mm wide and specially designed for children’s hands. The stem is a Bontrager Approved aluminium model with a clamp diameter of 25.4 mm, a rise of 15 degrees and a length of 50 mm.

The headset is an adjustable ball-bearing type, allowing for easy adjustment. The saddle is padded and features an integrated seatpost with a handle for easy carrying of the bike.
