Trek Precaliber 16

The 2022 ‘Precaliber 16’ model from Trek is a bicycle designed specifically for children, characterised by its robust construction and child-friendly features. Priced at 324 EUR, the bicycle offers good value for money.

The Precaliber 16’s frame is made of aluminium and is designed for children, with a 16-inch size and mountings for cantilever brakes. The maximum load capacity is 36 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 8 kg, making it light and easy to handle for young riders.

The bike’s braking system consists of aluminium V-brakes (linear pull brakes) at both the front and rear, ensuring reliable braking performance. The fork is made of steel and is also fitted with mounts for cantilever brakes. The pedals are Kids Satellite type with a 9/16" thread.

The stem is a Bontrager Approved aluminium model with a clamp diameter of 25.4 mm, a rise of 15 degrees and a length of 50 mm. The headset is threadless and has a diameter of 1 inch.

The bike’s saddle is padded and features an integrated seatpost with a handle, which makes the bike easier to handle. The bike’s packaging dimensions are 24 mm wide, 53 mm high and 94 mm long.
