Trek Powerfly FS 4 Equipped Gen 3

The "Powerfly FS 4 Equipped Gen 3" model from Trek, released in 2023, is a versatile and robust e-mountain bike, available for 4999 EUR. The frame is made from Alpha Platinum Aluminium and features a removable integrated battery (RIB), a tapered head tube, internal cable routing and Motor Armor. The frame also features derailleur levers, rack and mudguard mounts, ABP and Boost148, providing 100 mm of suspension travel. The maximum load capacity is 136 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 26 kg.

The Powerfly FS 4 Equipped Gen 3 is fitted with Tektro disc brakes at the front and rear, each with a 203 mm rotor. A Shimano Deore M4100 10-speed shifter handles the gear changes. The SR Suntour XCR 34 fork offers air suspension with LO R damping and a hydraulic lockout, and has 100 mm of travel.

The bike is fitted with a Herrmans H-Black MR8-E LED front light, which delivers 180 lumens and 60 lux. It also features VP-536 nylon platform pedals, an FSA Bosch CK-220 crankset with 36 teeth and a crank arm length of 165 mm, and a Shimano Deore M4100 cassette with a range of 11–46 teeth. Power is transmitted via a KMC X10 chain, which is designed for a 10-speed cassette.

The handlebars are a Bontrager aluminium model with a width of 720 mm and a rise of 15 mm. The grips are Bontrager XR Endurance Comp with screw-on clamps. The stem is also by Bontrager, made from aluminium and Blendr-compatible, with a 7-degree angle and a length of 60 mm. The headset is an FSA IS-2.

The tyres are Bontrager LT4 Expert with a reflective strip, a wire bead and a size of 27.5 x 2.40. The wheelset consists of Bontrager Kovee hollow-section rims, which are tubeless-ready and have an internal width of 23 mm. The hubs feature sealed bearings with aluminium axles.

The saddle is a Bontrager Commuter Comp and the seatpost is a TranzX JD-YSP18 with 100 mm of travel and internal cable routing. The saddle is clamped using a bolt-on clamp with a diameter of 36.4 mm. The mudguards are custom-made Trek Powerfly models for 27.5" wheels.

The bike is fitted with a Pletscher Comp Flex 18 kickstand and is powered by a Bosch Performance Line CX motor, which features a Smart System and a magnesium motor housing, delivering 85 Nm of torque. The battery is a Bosch PowerTube with a capacity of 625 Wh and is also part of the Smart System. The charger is a standard Bosch charger with a current of 4 A and a voltage of 230 V.

The packaging dimensions are 23 mm wide, 119 mm high and 201 mm long.
