Trek Powerfly 7 Gen 4

The 2023 Trek Powerfly 7 Gen 4 is a modern e-mountain bike designed for demanding riders and is available at a price of 4,799 EUR. The frame is made from Alpha Platinum aluminium and features a curved top tube and a removable integrated battery (RIB). The tapered head tube, internal Control Freak cable routing and Motor Armor ensure a robust and clean look. Thanks to Boost148 technology and the 12 mm thru-axle, the bike offers stable and precise handling.

The Powerfly 7 has a maximum rider weight of 136 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 22 kg. Excellent braking performance is provided by SRAM DB 8 hydraulic 4-piston disc brakes at the front and rear, combined with 180 mm SRAM CenterLine brake discs featuring a 6-hole mounting pattern and rounded edges.

Shifting is handled by the Shimano SLX M7100 12-speed shifter. The RockShox 35 Gold RL fork, with its 80 mm DebonAir travel, Motion Control damping and lockout function, offers precise suspension and control. The fork is also fitted with a tapered steerer tube, an oversized crown designed for e-MTBs and Boost110 technology.

The bike is fitted with VP-536 nylon platform pedals and an ethirteen espec Plus crankset with 165 mm crank arms. The Shimano SLX M7100 cassette offers a gear range of 10 to 51 teeth. The handlebars are made of aluminium, measure 720 mm in width and have a 15 mm rise. The Bontrager XR Endurance Elite grips and the Bontrager Rhythm Comp stem with Knock Block technology ensure comfort and stability.

The Bontrager Commuter Comp saddle is mounted on a TranzX JD-YSP18 seatpost, which has a 100 mm travel and internal cable routing. The tyres are Bontrager XR3 Team Issue models, which are tubeless-ready and feature Inner Strength sidewall protection and an aramid bead core. They measure 27.5 x 2.35 inches.

The wheelset consists of Bontrager Line Comp 30 rims, which are also tubeless-ready and feature a Rapid Drive 108 hub with a 6-hole disc mount. The bike is powered by a Bosch Performance Line CX motor with Smart System and a magnesium motor housing, delivering a torque of 85 Nm. The Bosch PowerTube battery has a capacity of 625 Wh and is charged using a Bosch standard charger (4 A, 230 V).

In terms of geometry, the bike offers a reach of 35 mm, a stack of 62 mm, a seat tube length of 36 mm and a top tube length of 58 mm. The head tube angle is 65 degrees, the head tube length is 12 mm, the chainstay length is 46 mm, the standover height is 71 mm and the wheelbase is 114 mm.
