Stevens Sonora GX AXS 29"

The “Sonora GX AXS 29” model from the “Stevens” brand, released in 2022, is a mountain bike characterised by high-quality components and a well-thought-out design. The frame is made from Carbon SL HMF, which gives the bike high stability whilst keeping it lightweight. The front and rear brakes are Shimano Deore XT BR-M8100, complemented by Shimano Deore XT BL-M8100 brake levers. The brake discs measure 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear, both of the RT-MT800 type.

The SRAM GX Eagle AXS RD-GX-1E-A1 system is used for the gears, controlled by the SRAM Eagle GX AXS shift lever. The Rock Shox SID SL Select+ fork ensures optimum suspension and control on uneven terrain. The bottom bracket is a Pressfit BB92, and the crankset consists of a SRAM GX Eagle with 34 teeth. The cassette is a SRAM XG 1275 Eagle with 12 speeds.

The handlebars and stem are both Oxygen Scorpo MTB models, with the handlebars measuring 740 mm in width. The headset is a Stevens MTB Taper 1 1/8"–1 1/2". The tyres are Schwalbe Racing Ray Evolution at the front and Schwalbe Racing Ralph Evolution at the rear, both in size 57-622. The wheelset consists of DT Swiss X 1900 Spline wheels at both the front and rear.

The saddle is an Oxygen Roccia, and the seatpost is also an Oxygen Scorpo MTB. The Stevens Sonora GX AXS 29" thus offers a balanced combination of lightness, stability and precise handling, making it an ideal companion for challenging mountain bike tours. The price for this model is 3,599 EUR.
