Stevens E-Whaka 27.5"

The “E-Whaka 27.5” model from Stevens, released in 2020, is a high-quality e-mountain bike designed specifically for challenging trails and intense rides. The frame is made from 7005 TB aluminium, giving the bike a robust yet lightweight structure. The maximum load capacity is 140 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 22 kg.

Optimal braking performance is ensured by the Shimano BR-MT520 brakes in combination with the Shimano BL-MT501 brake levers. The drivetrain is fitted with the Shimano Deore XT Shadow+ RD-M8100-SGS, 1x12, complemented by the Shimano SLX SL-M7100 shifter. This combination enables precise and reliable gear changes.

The suspension on the E-Whaka 27.5"" consists of a Fox 34 Float Rhythm E-Bike+ fork with 140 mm of travel and a Fox Float DPS Performance E-Bike 130 shock, ensuring excellent damping characteristics and control on uneven terrain. The MTB Aluminium Flatpedal Reflex pedals offer a secure grip and stability.

The bike’s drive system is powered by the Shimano Steps system, comprising the Shimano Steps E8000 motor and the Shimano Steps BT-E8010 battery with a capacity of 504 Wh. The Shimano Steps E7000 display provides all the necessary information whilst riding.

The Shimano Steps E8000 FC-E8000 crankset and the 12-speed Shimano SLX CS-M7100 cassette complete the drivetrain. The Oxygen E-Scorpo 760 mm handlebars and the matching Oxygen E-Scorpo stem, together with the STEVENS MTB Taper 1 1/8"-1 1/2" headset, ensure additional comfort and control.

The wheelset consists of Sun Ringlé Duroc TR35 rims (36 x 584) and Schwalbe Eddy Current Evolution tyres (65-584), which provide excellent grip and stability. The hubs are Shimano SLX, ensuring added reliability and durability.
