Scott Strike eRIDE 930

The "Strike eRIDE 930" model from Scott, released in 2022, is a high-quality e-mountain bike priced at 4999 EUR. The bike’s frame is made from a robust aluminium alloy and features Virtual 4-Link kinematics (VLK). It is compatible with both 27.5” and 29” wheels and offers adjustable geometry. The 148x12mm Boost standard provides additional stability and stiffness. The frame incorporates a removable battery and is designed for the Bosch Gen4 motor range. Other features include a tapered head tube (Tapered Headtube E2), a central kickstand mount and the option to retrofit a Range Booster. The maximum permissible weight is 128 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 23 kg.

The bike is suitable for riders between 180 cm and 190 cm in height. Braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-MT520 4-piston brakes with 203 mm rotors at the front (Shimano SM-RT64 CL) and rear (Shimano RT-EM600 CL). The drivetrain consists of a SRAM SX Eagle 12-speed system, operated via the SRAM SX Eagle Single Click shifter. The fork is a Marzocchi Z2 Air with 140 mm of travel, which has been specially developed for e-mountain bikes and offers three modes (Rail 3): Lockout, Traction Control and Descend. The rear shock is an X-Fusion NUDE Trunnion, also with 140 mm of travel, which has been adapted to Scott’s specific requirements.

The bike is also fitted with a Bosch Light Cable, which comes pre-installed at both the front and rear. The crankset consists of FSA CK-320 components with a length of 165 mm and a 34-tooth chainring. The cassette is an SRAM PG1210 with a range of 11–50 teeth. The handlebars are Syncros Hixon 2.0 Rise, made from an aluminium alloy (6061D.B.), with a width of 760 mm, a rise of 20 mm and a backsweep of 8 degrees. The grips are Syncros Comfort lock-on grips.

The stem is a Syncros FL2.0 made from aluminium (6061), with a length of 60 mm and an angle of 6 degrees. The headset is a Syncros ER2.0 Press Fit E2, designed for tapered head tubes. The rims are Syncros MD30s with a width of 30 mm and Tubeless-Ready technology. The tyres are Maxxis Rekon in size 29x2.6", which are renowned for their durability and traction.

The hubs are by Formula: the CL-811 (15x110 mm) at the front and the CL-148S (Boost 148x12 mm) at the rear. The spokes are made from black stainless steel. The saddle is a Syncros ER2.5, and the seatpost is a Syncros Duncan Dropper Post 2.5 with a diameter of 31.6 mm, offering different drop heights depending on frame size (100 mm for size S, 125 mm for size M, 150 mm for size L and 170 mm for size XL).

Power is provided by a Bosch Performance CX motor with a maximum speed of 25 km/h (EU) or 20 mph (INT). The battery has a capacity of 625 Wh and is controlled via a Bosch Purion display. A 4A charger is included.

The bike’s geometry comprises a reach of 461 mm, a stack of 641 mm, a seat tube length of 490 mm, a top tube length of 635 mm, a head tube angle of 65 degrees and a seat tube angle of 75 degrees. The head tube is 135 mm long, the chainstay length is 465 mm and the bottom bracket drop is 30 mm. The fork offset is 44 mm, the top tube height is 798 mm and the fork installation height is 547 mm. The crank length is 165 mm and the wheelbase measures 1258 mm in total, whilst the bottom bracket height is 347 mm.
