Scott Spark RC World Cup AXS

The 2022 "Spark RC World Cup AXS" model from Scott is a state-of-the-art mountain bike designed for demanding cross-country races. The price for this model is 8299 EUR. It features a Spark RC Carbon HMX frame with integrated suspension technology and Flex Pivot, complemented by an adjustable head angle and Syncros cable integration system. The frame is equipped with BB92, a UDH interface and a 12x148mm Boost standard with a 55mm chainline.

The bike’s maximum load capacity is 128 kg, whilst its kerb weight is just 10 kg, making it one of the lightest models in its class. It is suitable for riders between 170 cm and 180 cm in height.

The braking system consists of Shimano XTR M9100 disc brakes, with the front brake disc having a diameter of 180 mm and the rear one a diameter of 160 mm. The gear system is a wireless, electronic SRAM X01 Eagle AXS with 12 speeds and a SRAM GX Eagle AXS Rocker Controller as the shift lever.

Front suspension is provided by a RockShox SID Select+ RL3 Air fork with a Custom Charger 3-mode damper and 120 mm of travel. The rear shock is a RockShox NUDE 5 RL3 Trunnion with SCOTT’s own customisation for various riding modes (Lockout, Traction Control, Descend) and a travel range of 120–80 mm.

The bottom bracket is an SRAM DUB PF 92 MTB Wide, whilst the crankset consists of an SRAM X01 DUB Eagle carbon crankarm with 32 teeth. The cassette is a SRAM X01 XG1295 with a range of 10–52 teeth.

The handlebars, a Syncros Fraser iC SL XC Carbon, are 740 mm wide, with a rise of -12° and a backsweep of 8°. The grips are Syncros Pro lock-on grips. The headset system is a Syncros Acros Angle Adjust & Cable Routing HS system, which allows the steering angle to be adjusted by ±0.6°.

The bike is fitted with Maxxis Rekon Race tyres (29x2.4"), which are tubeless-ready and feature EXO protection. The wheelset consists of Syncros Silverton 1.0-30 carbon rims with DT Swiss Ratchet hubs and is also tubeless-ready.

The saddle is a Syncros Belcarra Regular 1.5 with titanium rails, and the seatpost is a FOX Transfer SL Performance Elite dropper post with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a travel of 100 mm.

The bike’s geometry includes, amongst other things, a reach of 441 mm, a stack of 603 mm, a seat tube length of 440 mm, a top tube length of 590 mm, as well as a head angle of 67° and a seat tube angle of 76°. The head tube length is 90 mm, the chainstay length 438 mm and the bottom bracket drop 45 mm. The standover height is 765 mm, the fork installation height 530 mm and the wheelbase 1159 mm. The bottom bracket height is 330 mm.
