The 2023 "Spark RC SL" model from Scott is a high-end mountain bike designed for discerning cross-country riders. Priced at EUR 14,999, it is positioned at the top end of the market and offers a wide range of premium components and technical features.

The Spark RC SL’s frame is made from Spark RC Carbon HMX SL and incorporates suspension technology that includes a Flex Pivot and an adjustable head angle. The Syncros Cable Integration System ensures clean cable routing, whilst the BB92 bottom bracket, the UDH interface and the 12x148mm Boost standard with a 55mm chainline ensure optimum stiffness and efficiency. Weighing just 1870g (including the shock), the frame is the lightest in its class with 120mm of travel.

The bike’s maximum load capacity is 128 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 10 kg. It is suitable for riders between 170 cm and 180 cm tall, offering a wide range of uses.

The braking system features Shimano XTR M9100 disc brakes at the front and rear, with a 180 mm rotor at the front and a 160 mm rotor at the rear, ensuring excellent braking power and control. The drivetrain is a wireless electronic SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS 12-speed system, controlled via the SRAM Eagle AXS Rocker Controller.

The FOX 34 SC Float Factory Air fork, featuring a Kashima coating, offers 120 mm of travel and is equipped with a FIT4 damping system with three modes, as well as a lockout function. The FOX NUDE 5 Factory EVOL trunnion shock is also Kashima-coated and offers 120 mm of travel, with three modes (Lockout, Traction Control and Descend).

The bottom bracket is a SRAM DUB PF 92 MTB Wide, whilst the crankset consists of a SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS with carbon cranks and an integrated power metre. The cassette is an SRAM XX1 XG1299 with a 10-52T range, and the chain is an SRAM CN XX1 Eagle.

The handlebars, a Syncros Fraser iC SL XC Carbon, are 740 mm wide, have an 8-degree backsweep and a 60 mm stem length. The grips are Syncros Performance XC lock-on grips.

The wheelset consists of Syncros Silverton SL2-30 CL full-carbon rims, fitted with DT Swiss 240 Ratchet EXP hubs. The tyres are Maxxis Rekon Race in size 29x2.4", which are tubeless-ready and feature EXO protection.

The saddle is a Syncros Belcarra SL Regular 1.0 with carbon rails, and the seatpost is a FOX Transfer SL Factory Dropper Post with a Kashima coating and a travel of 100 mm for sizes M, L and XL (75 mm for size S).
