Scott Spark RC Pro

The 2022 “Spark RC Pro” model from Scott is a highly advanced mountain bike equipped with a wide range of technical features and high-quality components. The price for this model is 6,799 EUR.

The Spark RC Pro’s frame is made from Spark RC Carbon HMF and incorporates Suspension Technology and Flex Pivot. It offers adjustable head tube geometry and the Syncros Cable Integration System, which ensures clean cable routing. The frame is compatible with the BB92 bottom bracket standard and features a UDH interface as well as a 12x148mm thru-axle with a 55mm chainline. The maximum permissible weight is 128 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 11 kg.

The Spark RC Pro’s braking system consists of Shimano XTR M9100 disc brakes, fitted with a 180 mm Shimano RT-MT800 CL rotor at the front and a 160 mm Shimano RT-MT800 CL rotor at the rear. The drivetrain is a Shimano XTR RD-M9100 SGS Shadow Plus with 12 speeds, which can be shifted precisely using the Shimano XTR SL-M9100-IR Rapidfire Plus shifters.

The bike is fitted with a RockShox SID Select+ RL3 Air suspension fork, offering 120 mm of travel. This fork features a Custom Charger 3-Mode damper and allows for various settings such as lockout and rebound adjustment. The rear shock is a FOX NUDE 5 EVOL Trunnion, which has also been customised by Scott and offers three modes (Lockout, Traction Control, Descend). The shock has an adjustable travel range between 120 mm and 80 mm, as well as a lockout function.

The Spark RC Pro’s drivetrain consists of a Race Face Next SL Carbon crankset with a DM32T SHI chainring combination and a Shimano XTR CS-M9100-12 cassette with a 10–51-tooth range. The bottom bracket is a Race Face BB92 with a diameter of 30 mm. The chain is a Shimano XT CN-M8100.

The handlebars are Syncros Fraser iC SL XC Carbon, 740 mm wide with an 8-degree backsweep. The stem length is 50 mm. The grips are Syncros Pro lock-on grips, which ensure a secure grip. The headset is the Syncros Acros Angle Adjust & Cable Routing HS System, which allows for a steering angle adjustment of ±0.6°.

The tyres are Maxxis Rekon Race in 29x2.4" size, which are tubeless-ready and feature EXO protection. The wheels are Syncros Silverton 1.5-30 CL with a rim width of 30 mm, which are also tubeless-ready. The saddle is a Syncros Belcarra Regular 1.5 with titanium rails, and the seatpost is a FOX Transfer SL Performance Elite dropper post with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a travel of 100 mm.

The Spark RC Pro’s geometry is optimised for riders between 160 cm and 170 cm in height. Key dimensions include a seat tube length of 415 mm, a top tube length of 562 mm, a head tube angle of 67 degrees, a seat tube angle of 76 degrees, a head tube length of 90 mm, a chainstay length of 438 mm, a bottom bracket drop of 45 mm, a standover height of 758 mm, a fork top height of 530 mm, a wheelbase of 1129 mm and a bottom bracket height of 330 mm.
