Scott Spark 700

The "Spark 700" model from Scott, released in 2022, is a high-performance mountain bike available for 2899 EUR. It features a robust Spark 27.5" Alloy SL 6011 frame, fitted with specially shaped, hydroformed tubes. The frame features a tapered head tube, a BB92 bottom bracket shell and Boost 12x148mm axles for enhanced stability and stiffness.

The bike’s maximum load capacity is 70 kg, whilst its kerb weight is 12 kg, making it a light and manoeuvrable mountain bike. Braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-MT500 brakes combined with Shimano BL-MT501 brake levers and 160 mm SM-RT54 brake discs at both the front and rear.

Gear changes are handled by an SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed system with an NX Eagle trigger shifter. The bike’s fork is an X-Fusion RC32 RC 27.5 with 120 mm of travel and a Kids Bike Tune, whilst the rear shock is an X-Fusion 02Pro RL Trunnion with lockout and rebound adjuster, which is also tailored for children and offers 120 mm of travel.

The bottom bracket is a SRAM DUB Pressfit MTB 92, and the crankset consists of a SRAM SX Eagle DUB Boost with a length of 155 mm and a 30-tooth chainring. The cassette is an SRAM SX Eagle PG-1210 with a 11–50-tooth range, and the drivetrain is powered by an SRAM CN SX Eagle chain.

The handlebars are Syncros T-Bar made from 6061 aluminium, 680 mm wide with a 9° angle. The grips are Syncros Youth 115, and the stem is made from Syncros 6061 alloy with an oversized diameter of 31.8 mm and a 7° angle. The headset is a Syncros Pro Press Fit with a tapered design of 1.5" to 1 1/8".

The rims are Syncros X-25 with 32 spokes and a width of 25 mm; they are tubeless-ready. The tyres are Schwalbe Racing Ray Performance TLR ADDIX in size 27.5x2.25 at the front and Schwalbe Racing Ralph Performance TLR ADDIX in size 27.5x2.5 at the rear; both are foldable and have an EPI of 67.

The front hub is a Shimano HB-MT400-B CL with an axle width of 15x110 mm, and the rear hub is a Shimano FH-MT400-B CL Boost with an axle width of 12x148 mm. The spokes are made of black stainless steel with a gauge of 15g / 1.8 mm.

The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro, and the seatpost is a Syncros Dropper Ducan Remote with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a travel of 80 mm, specially designed for children.

The bike’s total gross weight is 21 g. The model is marketed under the name SCO Spark 700 XS and features a wide range of high-quality components, making it an excellent choice for young mountain bike enthusiasts.
