Scott Scale RC SL

The "Scale RC SL" model from Scott, released in 2023, is a state-of-the-art mountain bike that stands out for its advanced technology and high-quality components. Priced at EUR 13,999, it belongs to the premium class and is aimed at ambitious riders who demand the very best from their equipment.

The Scale RC SL’s frame is made from Scale Carbon HMX SL and offers adjustable head tube geometry thanks to the Syncros Cable Integration System. The frame also features an advanced shock and vibration damping system, a BB92 bottom bracket shell and a UDH interface. The rear axle measures 12x148 mm and has a chainline of 55 mm. The maximum permissible weight is 128 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 8 kg.

In terms of rider height, this model is ideal for people between 160 cm and 170 cm. The braking system consists of Trickstuff Piccola Carbon Disc brakes at both the front and rear, with ultra-light Trickstuff Dächle brake discs (180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear). The drivetrain is a wireless electronic SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS with 12 speeds, controlled by the SRAM Eagle AXS Rocker Controller.

The suspension fork is a FOX 32 SC Float Factory Air with Kashima coating and offers 100 mm of travel. It features a Kabolt 15x110 mm axle, a tapered steerer tube, a lockout function and rebound adjustment. The bottom bracket is a SRAM DUB PF 92 MTB Wide with a shell width of 41x92 mm. The crankset consists of a SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS crankset with carbon cranks and an integrated power metre.

The drivetrain is the SRAM CN XX1 Eagle, whilst the cassette is a SRAM XX1 XG1299 with a 10–52T range. The handlebars are Syncros Fraser iC SL XC Carbon, with a width of 740 mm, a rise of -12° and a backsweep of 8°. The grips are Syncros Performance XC lock-on grips.

The headset is a Syncros Acros Angle Adjust & Cable Routing HS System with an angle adjustment of ±0.6°. The stem is 50 mm long. The wheelset consists of Syncros Silverton SL2-30 CL full-carbon wheels with DT Swiss 240 Ratchet EXP 36 hubs and tubeless-ready rims. The tyres are Maxxis Rekon Race in size 29x2.4", also tubeless-ready.

The saddle is a Syncros Belcarra SL Regular 1.0 with carbon rails, and the seatpost is a Syncros Duncan SL Carbon with a 10 mm offset and dimensions of 31.6x400 mm.
