Scott Scale RC 600 Pro

The "Scale RC 600 Pro" model from Scott, released in 2023, is a high-quality mountain bike designed specifically for young riders. It is available at a price of 1399 EUR and offers a wide range of technical features that enhance both performance and comfort.

The Scale RC 600 Pro’s frame is made from JR26 Susp Disc light, a 6061 aluminium alloy with a curved top tube and a semi-integrated head tube. The frame is fitted with a SCOTT dropout and IS standard. The maximum load capacity is 70 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 10 kg, making it light and easy to handle.

Scott has opted for Shimano components for the brakes. Both the front and rear brakes are Shimano BR-MT500, whilst the brake levers are Shimano BL-MT501. The front and rear brake discs are Shimano SM-RT56 with a diameter of 160 mm.

The derailleur is a Shimano Deore RD-M5100 with 11 speeds, operated via the Shimano Deore SL-M5100-R shifter. This combination enables precise and smooth gear changes. The cassette is a SunRace CSMX8 with 11 speeds and a range of 11–42 teeth, whilst the drivetrain is powered by a KMC X11EL chain.

The bike is fitted with a Manitou Markhor 26 fork, which offers 80 mm of travel and is specially tuned for children. The pedals are Wellgo J345s with reflectors, providing additional safety.

The crankset is a Prowheel BOOM-32P with a length of 152 mm and a 32-tooth chainring, which is protected by a PVC cover. The bottom bracket is a Feimin BB68 with a cartridge design and a square taper.

The rims are Alexrims MD19 for disc brakes, whilst the spokes are black 15G UCP. The hubs are Formula DC-140-F at the front and Formula DC-38-R at the rear, both with quick-release skewers. The tyres are Schwalbe Rocket Ron Evolution ADDIX Speed, sized 26x2.35" and featuring a folding design.

The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro, mounted on a 2014 aluminium seatpost with 0 mm offset and dimensions of 27.2x300 mm. The bike’s gross weight is 18 g.
