Scott Scale RC 200

The "Scale RC 200" model from Scott, released in 2022, is a lightweight and robust bike designed specifically for young riders. Priced at 899 EUR, it offers high-quality components and a wide range of technical features that ensure both safety and riding enjoyment.

The Scale RC 200’s frame is made from JR20 Rigid Disc light, a high-quality aluminium alloy (Alloy 6061), complemented by a curved top tube (Bended TT) and a semi-integrated head tube (Semi int. HT). The frame is also fitted with SCOTT dropouts and an IS brake mount. The maximum permissible weight is 50 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 7 kg, making it particularly light and manoeuvrable.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-MT500) in combination with Shimano brake levers (BL-MT501). The front and rear brake discs are Shimano SM-RT66 models with a diameter of 160 mm, which provide reliable and consistent braking power.

The gear system consists of a Shimano Deore RD-M5120 10-speed rear derailleur and a matching shifter (Shimano Deore SL-M4100-R). The cassette is a SunRace CSMS0 model with a 10-speed range of 11–36 teeth, and the drivetrain is supported by a KMC X10EL chain.

The bike’s fork is a rigid AL-6061 fork with a head tube diameter of 1 1/8" (IS). The pedals are MARWI SP-700 models with reflectors for added safety. The bottom bracket is a Feimin BB68 cartridge with a square taper, and the crankset consists of a Prowheel BOOM-32P, 127 mm in length, with a 32-tooth chainring protected by a PVC cover.

The handlebars are Premetec 6003F flat bars with a diameter of 25.4 mm and a width of 560 mm. The grips are Syncros Youth Pro 100 Grip models, which ensure a secure grip. The stem is a LEADTEC LCS-7091, 50 mm long and 25.4 mm in diameter.

The bike is fitted with Alexrims MD19 Disc rims and Schwalbe Rocket Ron Evolution tyres featuring ADDIX Speed Compound, sized 20x2.25". The hubs are Formula DC-140-F (front) and Formula DC-38-R (rear), both with quick-release (QR) mechanisms. The spokes are black 15g UCP models.

The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro, mounted on an aluminium seatpost (Alloy 2014) with 0 mm offset and dimensions of 27.2x250 mm. The bike’s gross weight is just 18 g.
