The "Ransom 930" model from Scott, released in 2022, is a high-quality mountain bike designed for challenging off-road trails. Priced at 3599 EUR, it offers a wide range of technical and functional features that are suitable for both leisure cyclists and ambitious athletes.

The Ransom 930’s frame is made from Ransom Alloy SL 6011, a specially machined aluminium alloy that ensures optimum suspension performance thanks to the VLK Virtual 4 Link Kinematics. The frame is compatible with both 27.5" and 29" tyres and features a TBC Trunnion Box construction as well as a Boost 12x148mm rear end. The maximum rider weight is 128 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs in at 15 kg.

Safe deceleration is ensured by the Shimano MT520 disc brakes in combination with Shimano SM-RT64 brake discs, with a diameter of 203 mm at the front and 180 mm at the rear. The bike’s gear system is a Shimano Deore 12-speed system, operated via a Shimano Deore SL-M6100-R Rapidfire Plus shifter. The front hub is a Shimano HB-MT410-B CL and the rear hub is a Shimano FH-MT410-B CL, both to the Boost standard.

The saddle is a Syncros Kaslo 2.0 with CrMo rails, and the seatpost is a Syncros Duncan 2.5 Dropper Post, which offers different travel lengths depending on frame size (125 mm for S, 150 mm for M, 170 mm for L & XL).

The bike’s geometry is optimised for riders between 160 cm and 170 cm tall. Key dimensions include a reach of 406 mm, a stack of 614 mm, a seat tube length of 420 mm, a top tube length of 571 mm, a head tube angle of 65 degrees, a seat tube angle of 75 degrees and a chainstay length of 438 mm. Other dimensions include a bottom bracket drop of 22 mm, a fork offset of 51 mm, a top tube height of 745 mm, a fork installation height of 577 mm, a wheelbase of 1183 mm and a bottom bracket height of 354 mm.
