Scott Metrix 30 EQ

The "Metrix 30 EQ" model from Scott, released in 2021, is a versatile bike characterised by its robust construction and high-quality components. The frame is made from Metrix Disc / 6061 D.Butted Alloy and features endurance geometry and an integrated head tube, ensuring a stable and comfortable riding position. Weighing 11 kg, the bike is relatively light and therefore easy to handle.

For braking performance, the Metrix 30 EQ is fitted with Shimano BR-UR300 hydraulic disc brakes, operated by Shimano BL-MT201 brake levers. Both the front and rear are fitted with 160 mm Shimano SM-RT10 CL brake discs, which offer reliable and powerful braking performance.

The bike’s drivetrain comprises a Shimano Claris RD-R2000-GS 16-speed rear derailleur, operated via Shimano SL-R2000 shift levers. The front derailleur is also a Shimano Claris FD-R2000. The crankset consists of a Shimano FC-RS2000 with 50x34 teeth, whilst the cassette is a Shimano CS-HG50 with 8 speeds and a range of 11–32 teeth. The chain is a KMC X8, which is renowned for its durability and reliability.

The Metrix 30 EQ’s fork is made from Metrix Disc Alloy with a 1 1/8" alloy steerer tube, which contributes to the stability and precision of the steering. The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-RS500. The handlebars are Syncros Flat-Bar FL2.0 with a width of 580 mm, combined with a JD ST123A Alloy stem, which has a diameter of 31.8 mm and uses four bolts for attachment.

The headset features integrated steel caps, which contribute to the bike’s robustness. The rims are Syncros Race 24 Disc with 28 spokes at the front and rear, which, in combination with the Schwalbe G-ONE tyres in size 700x35C, ensure good traction and a comfortable ride. The hubs are Formula Team CL Disc models, each with 28 spokes, which are renowned for their reliability.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino Regular 2.5, mounted on a Syncros RR2.5 seatpost measuring 27.2/300 mm, which offers additional comfort. The Metrix 30 EQ is available at a price of 799 EUR and is an excellent choice for riders looking for a reliable and well-equipped bike.
