Scott Gambler 920

The 2021 "Gambler 920" model from Scott is a high-quality downhill bike, available on the market at a price of 4,599 EUR. The frame is made from Gambler Alloy 6061, a hydroformed, bespoke and reinforced material. It is compatible with 27.5-inch and 29-inch tyres and features an adjustable bottom bracket and SW DH 12x157mm dropouts. The bike weighs 17 kg.

The Gambler 920’s braking system is fitted with Shimano BR-MT520 4-piston brakes and a Shimano SM-RT66L front brake disc with a diameter of 203 mm. The drivetrain consists of a SRAM GX DH rear derailleur with a short cage and 7 speeds, operated via a SRAM GX DH trigger shifter.

Optimal suspension is provided by the FOX 40 Performance fork with air suspension, GRIP damper, and low-compression and rebound adjustment. It has a travel of 203 mm and a 20 mm Boost thru-axle. The rear shock is a FOX VAN RC Performance with a custom tune and 200 mm of travel. The spring preload varies depending on frame size: S: 400, M: 450, L & XL: 500.

The handlebars are Syncros Hixon 1.5 DH with a diameter of 31.8 mm, a rise of 15 mm, a backsweep of 8° and a width of 800 mm. They are fitted with Syncros Pro DH Dual-Lock-On grips. The stem is a Syncros DH1.5 Direct Mount with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a length of 50 mm. The headset is an adjustable Syncros DH headset, which is semi-integrated and allows for ±1° of adjustment.

The wheelsets consist of Syncros MD30 rims, which are tubeless-ready and measure 29". The tyres are Maxxis Assegai in size 29x2.5", featuring a 2x60TPI Kevlar bead, DH carcass, Tubeless Ready technology and 3C Maxx Grip rubber compound. The hubs are Formula DHL-92 Boost at the front and Formula DHL-157 at the rear, both fitted with thru-axles and sealed bearings. The spokes are DT Swiss Industry, 2.0 gauge and black in colour.

The saddle is a Syncros Kaslo 2.0 with CrMo rails, and the seatpost is made from Syncros DH2.0 aluminium with a diameter of 31.6 mm. To protect against dirt and spray, the bike is fitted with a Fox 40 mudguard.
