Scott Gambler 900 Tuned

The "Gambler 900 Tuned" model from Scott, released in 2021, is a highly sophisticated downhill bike which, at a price of 8,499 EUR, is positioned in the upper price bracket. The frame is made from Gambler Carbon featuring IMP technology and HMX material, ensuring high stability and low weight. Weighing 15 kg, the bike is light enough to tackle even the most demanding descents with ease. The frame is also compatible with 27.5" (2.6) and 29" (2.5) tyres and offers excellent suspension performance thanks to the VLK Virtual 4 Link Kinematic System.

The braking system consists of Shimano XTR M9120 4-piston disc brakes, which, in combination with the 203 mm Shimano SM-RT86 front brake discs, provide outstanding braking power and control. The drivetrain is an SRAM XO1 DH with a short cage and 7 speeds, operated via an SRAM XO1 DH trigger shifter. This configuration enables precise gear changes and optimal adaptation to trail conditions.

Suspension is provided by a FOX 40 Factory fork with Kashima coating and air suspension, offering 203 mm of travel. The rear shock is a FOX DH X2 Factory model with individually adjustable high- and low-speed compression and rebound, which has been specially tuned to the bike and offers 200 mm of travel. The spring preload varies depending on frame size: S: 400, M: 450, L & XL: 500.

The bottom bracket is an SRAM DUB PF MTB107, whilst the crankset consists of an SRAM X01 DH DUB Carbon fitted with a 34T aluminium chainring. The cassette is a SRAM CS PG-720 DH with a 11–25-tooth range, and the chain is a KMC X11-1 in black.

The handlebars are Syncros Hixon iC DH Carbon with a 15 mm rise and a width of 800 mm, complemented by Syncros Pro DH dual lock-on grips. The headset is a Syncros DH adjustable, semi-integrated model, allowing the steering angle to be adjusted by ±1°.

The tyres are Maxxis Assegai in size 29x2.5", which are renowned for their excellent traction and durability. The wheels are Syncros Revelsoke DH 1.5, tubeless-ready, and offer high stiffness and stability thanks to their Boost axles (110x20 at the front, 157x12 at the rear).

The saddle is a Syncros Kaslo 1.5 with titanium rails, mounted on a Syncros DH1.5 aluminium seatpost (31.6 mm). A Fox 40 Fender mudguard completes the Gambler 900 Tuned’s spec and protects against dirt and spray.
